‘The Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong Scholarships’ of the CUHK Announced
Sponsored by the CASH Music Fund and presented by the CUHK, ‘The Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong Scholarships 2021/22’ have been awarded to the following students from the Department of Music.
Zheng Enzhe
Enzhe is currently a doctoral student studying composition under the supervision of Prof. Wendy Lee. His works have been performed in various music halls, including the opera Plum Blossoms commissioned by Opera on Tap OKC (US), Decadence for wind symphony premiered by UCO wind symphony (US), The Opposite for piano four hands premiered at the CUHK Bauhinia Concert 2021, and many more. He created four works for multimedia to encourage people during the period of COVID-19, which received coverage from the local media in Oklahoma, US.
Rosella Yum
Rosella is pursuing Bachelor of Arts in Music and is currently a final year student. She majors in composition and is studying with Prof. Chan Kai Young, Dr Lo Hau Man and Prof. Wendy Lee. Her interests lie in contemporary music, sound art, visual and performance art. She is currently working with a Hong Kong floral designer to explore the possibility of music-making and visual arts.
