Mr. Jolland Chan, a veteran lyricist who has written over 800 pieces in a wide array of themes for more than 30 years. His first awarded work “Drizzling Rain, Love’s Sorrow” written for Alan Tam in the early 80s had lifted his career to a new height. Some of the classic hits written by him such as “Friend”, “There’s Not A Day I Don’t Think Of You” and “Everyone Has A Dream” are still cherished by music fans today. Apart from writing lyrics, Jolland had worked for record companies where he made significant contributions to the local music scene in the golden era by nurturing a number of renowned singers as well as producing countless popular local and overseas albums.
